M.Sc. Mohamed Helmy
Visiting PhD Student
Biography
Mohamed Helmy is a Ph.D. candidate in Earth Observation at La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, in collaboration with the University of Bologna. My research focuses on leveraging remote sensing techniques to study and interpret Earth observation phenomena.
I earned my master’s degree in Civil engineering with honors in August 2022, after graduating at the top of my class in June 2018. With over five years of experience as an assistant lecturer, I have contributed to teaching several civil engineering courses and guiding students in applied research.
In addition to this academic work, I have three years of professional experience as a technical office engineer, where I participated in major road and bridge construction projects. My background combines strong technical expertise with advanced research in Earth observation, remote sensing, and data interpretation.
