Biography

Dr.-Ing. Loudi Yap joined the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation (IGG), Astronomical, Physical and mathematical Geodesy Group at the University of Bonn, in February 2024 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Before joining the University of Bonn, Dr.-Ing. YAP Loudi was Researcher and Chief of Research Laboratory in Geodesy at the National Institute of Cartography of Cameroon. He has done extensive work in gravity field and geoid modelling, characterization of groundwater aquifers, digital terrain modelling using satellite, terrestrial and shipborne gravity, and geodetic datasets. His main research interests are at the boundary between various research fields such as Satellite and Physical Geodesy, Geophysics, Remote sensing and Hydrology.
